Jordan Younghouse began playing tennis at the age of 15 under Coach Greg Henderson at Albertville High School. After graduating in 2011, he walked on to the Gadsden State Community College tennis team where he won NJCAA conference championships at #4 singles and #3 doubles. He earned a full tennis scholarship his Sophomore year and was named a team captain. He then moved on to Jacksonville State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. While at JSU, he worked with the Gamecocks Men’s and Women’s Tennis Programs as the Tennis Manager. Jordan’s first job in the tennis world was working as a Tennis Professional at Tuscaloosa Tennis Center under Mike Goldammer and former Gadsden State teammate, Jacob McAllister. He then moved back home to Albertville in 2021 and started Younghouse Tennis Academy in Guntersville, AL. With YTA, Jordan partnered with Universal Tennis Rating and hosted the first tennis tournament in Marshall County in over 3 years. The success of this tournament earned Younghouse Tennis Academy UTR’s Newcomer of the Month for November 2021. He was then hired as the Local League Coordinator for the brand-new Albertville USTA Section that will soon begin hosting Adult and Junior Tennis Leagues here at SMPA. Jordan is the youngest of 7 children and helps at his family’s restaurant, Papa Dubi’s Cajun Kitchen, located in Albertville.
