7 treadmills, 6 ellipticals, upright, recumbent and spin bikes, Jacob’s Ladder, Rowers, ArcTrainer and more cardio options.

Some cardio machines will have in-unit displays/tv’s with cable and Netflix streaming capability.

Some cardio machines offer LifeFitness on-Demand virtual classes on the unit console. Motivating instructor-led workouts with a wide variety of difficulty levels and programming styles.

    Whether you’re a first-time mom or seasoned pro with children, Sand Mountain Park offers child watch. Stop by one of our group exercise classes or swim a few laps in the indoor aquatics center while your child is in good hands with our trained staff. This benefit is only available to Family Premier and Family Championship Membership packages.

    What is a Dri-Tri?
    A dri-tri is a simulation of a triathlon on land (no swimming involved).  
    What does it include:
    Rowing, Riding (indoor cycling) and Running (walk or run on treadmill or indoor track) 
    Distances: 
    Super Sprint Distance 1250 meter row, 4 mile ride, 1 mile run
    Sprint 2500 meter row, 8 mile ride, 2 mile run
    Endurance 5000 meter row, 12 mile ride, 5k run
    Relay option: 3 person teams, one person rows 5000m, one person bikes 12 miles, one person runs a 5k (combined total of all 3)

    All Sand Mountain Park fitness classes are for people of all ages and
    abilities and classes can be modified for all experience levels.

    • SPIN

      Low impact, high intensity indoor cycling class. Let the music motivate you to workout while having fun in a small group setting.
    • ACTIVE AGERS COGNITIVE TRAINING

      Low impact fitness class that focuses on balance, strength, range of motion, and cognitive activities to promote longevity and better quality of life.
    • PILATES

      Movements using bodyweight to strengthen your abs, back, and glutes.
    • LES MILLS BODY PUMP

      BODYPUMP is a total body strength workout that will shape and tone all major muscle groups, increase core strength, improve bone health and leave you feeling strong and fit. Burn up to 400 calories per hour.
    • AQUAFIT

      Shallow water aerobic exercise class performed with water buoys, pool noodles, kickboards, and/or body weight resistance.

      What to wear? Swimsuit, water shoes *optional.

      What is miles for miracles?

      Miles for Miracles is a virtual or in-person 100-mile, 50-mile, or 25-mile challenge. The challenge is to run/walk/bike that amount of miles from March 1 – March 31.

      You may complete all miles in one activity or combine the listed activities. 100% of all donations will go to the Albertville Parks & Recreation Foundation, and will be earmarked to directly support the Miracle League and our Youth Recreation Sports Scholarship program. Each participant will receive a Miles for Miracles dri-fit t-shirt, and all participants will be invited to come celebrate this cause with us on Opening Day, which is Saturday April 1st!
