Swim Team

With over a decade of coaching experience, Dusty has had the privilege of leading the Boaz High School swim team to numerous achievements. During his tenure as Head Swim Coach, he mentored six swimmers who advanced to compete at the collegiate level. Dusty has been recognized twice as the NFHS Alabama Men’s Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year. Under his guidance, the men’s swimming and diving team clinched 3 out of the last 6 AHSAA 1A-5A State Championships and secured the title of State Runner-Up twice. Additionally, they achieved 6 consecutive years as AHSAA 1A-5A Men’s North AL Sectional Champions. They have claimed the North Alabama High School Swim League championship the past two years. In 2023, the women’s team achieved their highest finish in school history as Sectional Runner-Up. During the summer, Dusty proudly helped coach the Boaz Barracudas Swim Team to 11 straight years as Marshall County Champions and two ARPA State Championships. We are so excited to welcome Coach Thomas to Albertville as he guides AHS Swim and Albertville Gators under the same leadership.
