Amanda is an Insurance Specialist at Alabama Farm Credit in Albertville. She began riding RPM in 2017 and fell in love with the class and music immediately! In 2018 she became a certified Les Mills RPM Instructor. RPM is an indoor cycling ride where you control the intensity of your workout by controlling your resistance and speed while building your endurance and strength over time. It’s a fun class and the music brings a lot of energy to the participants. Amanda enjoys hiking, riding her bike, trail runs, group fitness, and spending time with her family and friends.

CLASSES: Body Pump

Bob has been a certified Body Pump fitness instructor since 2015. He began his desire for fitness after family members had significant health issues and decided to change his path. His primary occupation is as a mechanical engineer for Dixie Grinders in Guntersville. He has worked in his field since graduation from The University of Tennessee in 1987. Bob and his wife, Lisa (a math teacher at Douglas High School), have 2 children, Joe and Rachel. Both are serving in the United States military.

CLASSES: Pilates, Spin & Lift, Cardio & Core

A certified yoga, pilates, spin, group exercise, and boot camp instructor, Angelina teaches group fitness classes at Sand Mountain Park in Albertville as well as another facility in Boaz. She also teaches mobility classes for the football program at Boaz City Schools! You’ll love her energy in one of the many classes she teaches at Sand Mountain Park. When she’s not busy teaching class at one of her locations, she hosts the following yoga and pilates events on her goat farm in Boaz:

Julie McGowan

Classes: Circuit Blast, Power Waves, Aqua Fit

Julie is a teacher turned stay-at-home mom to two awesome little girls and wife to Connor. Group fitness has been a part of her life for over 15 years and she has been a fitness instructor since 2015. Hobbies include spending time in the kitchen concocting nourishing foods, reading mostly nonfiction, gardening, and adventuring outdoors-whether it be hiking, biking, playing, or just a good ‘ole walk! As our resident aquatic fitness instructor, you’ll love what Julie brings to people of all ages and abilities.

Classes: Run Group, Yoga

As a running enthusiast and a 200hr certified Hatha Vinyasa yoga instructor, Leigh-Ann’s love of running began the summer of 2016 when she started training for her first 5K. She had trouble with runners’ knees during training and her running coach suggested yoga. She started practicing yoga and immediately felt the benefits yoga brought to her body. She has since gone on to run several 5K’s, 10K’s, the 2019 Huntsville half marathon, and the 2020 Mercedes half marathon. She leads groups in 5K training for 4 seasons helping others reach their running goals. In January 2020 she took the opportunity to study yoga at a school in Gadsden gaining a deeper knowledge of the ancient philosophy. Whether a runner or a yogi, you’ll love class with Leigh-Ann!

Myah Mason

CLASSES: MixxedFit, Yoga

Myah is a 14-year experienced military fitness professional. In her MixxedFit class she uses bodyweight exercises to help people achieve their fitness goals. She will always challenge you to be the best version of yourself! Whether MixxedFit or yoga, her motto is “Join Me and Be Better”.

tricia Morris

Classes: Spin

As an Albertville High School Graduate and JSU Graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness, Tricia has been a certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer since May 2001. Her role at Sand Mountain Park and Amphitheater is Group Fitness Coordinator. Fitness is her passion in her professional and personal life and she thrives on seeing people try fitness for the first time or meet a lifelong goal. She is a Fitour Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Advanced Personal Trainer. She also is a Certified Core & Functional Fitness Instructor, Spin Instructor, and Silver Sneakers Classic Instructor. When she’s not working in the Fitness Center, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad, and their two daughters. She also enjoys obstacle course racing and challenges of all kinds – she spends a lot of time outdoors either mountain biking, hiking, or running!

Classes: Body Pump, RPM

Tonja’s fitness instructor journey began when she walked into the gym and heard the Les Mills Body Pump class going on in one of the fitness rooms. The next day she went to Body Pump class and has been teaching for 12 years. Five years later she added RPM and four years ago added Body Shred. Her first start in fitness was running, one of her passions, where she has run 28 marathons! Her belief is that motivation is what gets you started and habit is what keeps you going. Join Tonja for one of her classes for intense energy and fun!

Classes: Yoga

Jamie Kelley is one of the yoga instructors here at Sand Mountain Park. She has been practicing yoga for many years and became certified as an instructor in 2009. She teaches her classes in a flow-style format focusing on strength, balance, and flexibility while providing modifications and variations when needed to suit all levels. Yoga helps to balance the mind and body and has been a factor in dramatically reducing stress in her own life. She has worked with all ages from young children and up, seeing for herself how yoga can be beneficial and enjoyable for all. Jamie lives here in Albertville with her husband and son, and dogs and cats. She is excited to be able to raise their son in such a great community!
