Week 1 October | Let's Grow:
The purpose of this week is to help children grow in the pursuit of curiosity and help teach them ways to protect and care for the creatures around them. This week we will make birdhouses, learn how to help the environment , use eggs to make a planters, and learn about the lifecycle of a butterfly.
Week 2 | Around the World: The purpose of this week is to educate students on different cultures. This week will help students gain an appreciation and a curiosity for the world around them. This week we will make pla de muerto, learn about day of the dead, make didgeridoos, and learn about the aborigines, as well as learn about Japan and make tie dye shirts
Week 3 | Find your Masterpiece: The purpose of of program is to cultivate expression through art techniques. Students will be able to utilize watercolor, acrylic, and collage to explore their own emotions.
Week 4 | Spooky Science: The purpose of this week is to explore different concepts of science through hands-on experiments. Halloween is just around the corner so get ready for some spooky fun! Topics include mummification, physical science with lava lamps, chemistry with ghosts and bubbling reactions.
Week 5 | Life in the Pasture: The purpose of this week is to educate on life for farm animals as well as cultivate creativity. This week will include life cycle of various farm animals, building a tractor and scarecrow, as well as how to make butter.
